Does Dr. Del Vecchio have rhinoplasty before and after pictures?

Dr. Del Vecchio encourages you to visit his Boston Rhinoplasty photo gallery to see examples of his work. When you visit the office for your rhinoplasty consultation, you will be able to view additional photos from Dr. Del Vecchio’s patients.

How old should you be before you consider rhinoplasty surgery?

To have rhinoplasty in Boston, Dr. Del Vecchio generally recommends you wait until your nose is fully developed (done growing). This age varies among individuals but usually falls in the mid-teen range. Patients as young as 14 have been treated with rhinoplasty by Dr Del Vecchio.

How long does the rhinoplasty surgery take?

Your rhinoplasty surgery will vary according to several factors which Dr. Del Vecchio will cover in your plastic surgery consultation. If you are having the rhinoplasty procedure for the first time, Dr. Del Vecchio usually finds it takes between one and two hours.

How long will it be before I see the final results of the rhinoplasty surgery?

Dr. Del Vecchio feels strongly that each and every patient is unique. As such, no two rhinoplasty recovery periods will be exactly alike. In general bruising around the eyes and cheeks will be most apparent for the first three to five days after your rhinoplasty surgery and will generally fade after a week’s time. You may also experience some minor facial swelling in the weeks following your rhinoplasty.

While you may see some visible results within the first few weeks of surgery, it is important to remember that rhinoplasty can take up to a year for all of the remaining swelling to completely subside.

Dr. Del Vecchio will walk you through the recovery process prior to your rhinoplasty surgery. To aid in the rhinoplasty recovery process, make sure you follow Dr. Del Vecchio’s recommendation for post operative care.

Does rhinoplasty covered by insurance?

In cases where septal deviation exists and where prior authorization for correction of septal deviation is obtained by the patient from their insurance carrier, a portion of the operating room and anesthesia fee can be covered. It is advisable to check with your insurance carrier prior to the surgery to better ascertain the likelihood of this being possible.
